Ventilated Cloth Sections
are made from bias cut cotton with a steel centre ring. The pleating
ranges from 1J, with a low degree of puckering and soft action
for colouring off, to 4J , with a very high degree of puckering
for maximum cut. The 2J Medium Density grade being the most commonly
used. A centre plate with ventilation holes and the correct diameter
bore is required for each buff. Sections are ½" (13
mm) wide, and are ganged together on a shaft to make up a wide
head. Cardboard or wooden spacers can be fitted between the sections
for extra flexibility. Made in a variety of cloths and pleating
configurations for almost any application. |
