Safety Advice

When using Pro-Fin products, spindle speeds of 3000 r.p.m. or higher are used. As with any process involving these speeds, safety precautions MUST be observed.

	Always use eye protection at all stages of polishing, including 'heading up'.
	Wear industrial type leather gloves or good heavy duty gardening gloves when carrying out operations generating heat in the job. Make sure the gloves are a good fit with no loose parts.
	Wear a simple face mask to avoid breathing dust and fluff, especially when 'heading up' new mops.
AVOID HEAVY POLISHING ON DELICATE ITEMS SUCH AS JEWELLERY. The abrasive action of most polishing materials will result in loss of fine detail if not used very carefully.
NEVER USE ANY FORM OF POLISHING MACHINE WEARING LOOSE CLOTHING SUCH AS TIES, LOOSE SLEEVES OR OPEN WORKSHOP COATS
ALWAYS TIE BACK LONG HAIR AND TUCK LOOSE CLOTHING IN SECURELY
POLISHING CAN BE A MESSY BUSINESS, ESPECIALLY HEAVY DUTY WORK OR WHEN "HEADING UP" NEW MOPS WITH POLISH. IT IS USUALLY ADVISABLE TO WEAR OLD CLOTHES OR PREFERABLY ONE-PIECE OVERALLS
ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE DIRECTION OF ROTATION OF THE MOP IS TOWARDS YOU AS SHOWN IN THE DIAGRAM BELOW
