Lea Manufacturing’s hardwood barrelling media are manufactured from seasoned beech and birch, which will not splinter during use.

They can be supplied clean, or pre-impregnated with abrasive compound.  Shapes and sizes include pegs, diamonds and cubes, ranging from 4 to 12 mm.  They are used in conjunction with our polishing pastes, fluids and abrasive powders. Plastic, usually nylon, diamonds are also used with the more aggressive abrasive compound for first and second stage processes.

For de-burring and related operations, crushed walnut shells are also used as a carrier for our abrasive compound and powders.
