Precious Metals
The precious metals are considered to be Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium, Iridium and Ruthenium.
Those rare highly prized metals that are less reactive to the air and can give high lustre are often ductile.
These attributes encourage their use for jewellery and other highly decorative tools and objects and also for coinage.
Polishing precious metals is necessary to give the best shiny finishes but it should be done in a way to minimise metal loss.
Our compounds enable a quick clean process to minimise polishing time and reduce metal loss.
Silver can be ‘greased’ with Splendour or Brillmax then finished with Luminex or RS2 Rouge.
Gold may be polished with Sunblue then finished with Mirrormax or Luminex.
Platinum can be greased with Splendour then finished with Nico.
Titanium may be polished with Pristine and finished with Chromax Green for a deep colour.
